Jagged Frozen Mud

After a year of no updates I've decided to make this my weekly journal for biking. With alot of mountain bike racing planned with the Sabers this year it should be pretty interesting. Anyways I decided to hit the trails first thing after work for the third time this week. It finally got cold enough out for everything to freeze over. The frozen mud was actually welcome after the cold days trying to push through thick muck. I ended up sweating through my gloves that eventualy froze to my bar ends in the 18 degree weather, but it still felt pretty warm in the cover of the trees. The wind chill on the road home was pretty brutal however. With nothing other that my 5 day a week commutes for the last few months I felt pretty good on the trails. I was a little winded after a 15 mile lap, but the cold more than my fitness kept me from doing much more. I still felt I had alot of power however, but I'll have to do a little more riding to see if my time in the gym this winter really paid off.

If you look closely you can see the trail I rode up from on the other side of the valley.

What are these odd tracks on my mt bike trails?

Other mt bike tracks. Most likely made by other Sabers!
